Being safe when travelling with a baby in the car is really important. Here's a quick and easy list of the things you should do to make sure your baby is as safe as possible!
- Always use a properly fitted baby car seat that is the right size for your baby.
- Never put your baby in the front of a car with passenger air bags.
- Don't use a second hand car seat as you can't be sure if it was not damaged in an accident with the previous owner.
- Don't let your baby sleep in his car seat in your home, and never leave your baby alone in a car.
- When you're in the car, make sure your baby isn't in direct sunlight and doesn't get too hot.
- Lastly, Don't smoke in the car. In a small space the smoke is much more likely to affect the baby.
