How to get the mil to stop smoking.

Baby will be living at home with myself, my mum and dad. He will stay with my boyfriend about 2-3 nights a week. My boyfriend no longer smokes however his mum does and she smokes in the house. Its disgusting and i really don't want her to do it but its not my house so i cant ask. Ive asked her not to smoke when the baby is in the house and on the day the baby is due to arrive round at her house, if that makes sense, but is that enough?

  • ahhh i have the same problem hun, ill be living with my boyfriend, and his mum, she smokes, to bo fair shes a 'considerate' smoker and goes outside whenever im around and she said she wont smoke in the house at all when i move in, but i dont want her to hold her or be near her when shes had a fag as its so dangerous to babys health, im just gonna print the stuff out n show her why im so concrned
    My mum n dad r buggers for smokers (thts y im moving out) they annoy the hell out of me! lol

  • What a difficult situation. However, nothing is more important than your baby's life so I would ask your boyfriend to speak to her. You're right, it's not your house, but it will be your baby's home for the 2-3 nights of the week he's there.

    Lillys_Mummys idea is fab. How can they argue with facts?
