Been on a childcare course to become a nursery nurse since september, but lately i've been having doubts on whether its right for me. It seems like the more i do it the more i dislike it and think to myself i don't want to do this for the rest of my life, am thinking about a textiles course but it isn't worth Alevels and my mum will go balistic at me. She oneof those types where you have to do everything right the first time otherwise your a lowlife who won't amount to anyhting. Also textiles is in a different building further away and childcare is closer to where i live which makes it easier as we don't have enough money to get the bus everyday. Should i say nothing and carry on with the course or just drop out now and wait for the next one to start?

@VIOLETSMUM1 I'm guessing the course finishes in a couple of months? You might as well finish it so you have a qualifications under your belt in case you go onto textiles and decide you don't like that either. You will probably feel better knowing that and how you didn't give in at a blip, I wanted to drop off my course and take a year out to have time to get my life sorted or at least start working full time so I could afford to move out but realising I only had like 2-3months left on each of my courses (doing a levels) that might as well go on and if my grades show I wasn't enjoying it to then go on to a different course. Just make sure whatever you do your happy with your decision and your 100% sure you won't end up regretting anything. And so what if that is what your mum thinks, you won't be a low-life for trying to get an educations that will allow you to go on to be happy in your chosen career! Xx

How long have you got left?
If its not long, I'd finish it because the effort youve put in will have been a waste. If it years think about something else. Think about why you dont enjoy it. Is it something thats fixable? IS it something that would be the same with another course? Do you know what you want to do in the future? maybe a trip to connections or whatever would help.

aww thats nice. it finishes in 2 years. it just the workload i can'tcope with coz theres that much. i don't like my personal tutor and a woman at my first placement doesn't like me, so she gave me a bad review so now they won't put me in the next one because college said they dont trust me they'll get a bad reputation.
