Does anyone ever feel like they're never going to go to college/uni?
I feel so hopeless right now, all of my friends with babies have someone (ie: their mom, boyfriend's mom, sister, etc) at home to watch their baby so they can go to school and not pay for childcare and not worry about finding them the right babysitter or the right daycare.. I just have no one in my exact situation to give me any advice! I can't afford to pay for school AND daycare, but I do WANT to go to school, I don't want to work for minimum wage forever doing like restaurant jobs.. but it feels so hard to go back to school! I can get loans but I feel like it's unfair of me to take on a lot of debt at this point while my boyfriend and I are trying to get a house and start our lives and we already have a baby?
Hi Tasha41 - sounds tough. It might be worth speaking to the college / uni to ask them about subsidised childcare and also bursaries and grants that might be available to you.
If you are in the UK then have a look at these schemes:
http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/EducationAndLearning/AdultLearning/FinancialHelpForAdultLearners/DG_172003
and this page on the Direct gov website:
http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/EducationAndLearning/AdultLearning/FinancialHelpForAdultLearners/DG_172018
And finally this page for if you are under 20

Good luck!

If you are on income support a college course and childcare on site at the college should be free. I'm not sure about uni though!! Good luck xx
