Baby Due in July, College in September? Please help x

I am 24 weeks pregnant and my baby girl is due in July. I was doing health and social care at college this year but when I found out I was pregnant I left to get a job so I could save some money. In my area college is free up to 19 years old so if I start college in September it will be free and aparently there is something called care to learn which will help me and there is an onsite nursery.
But I don;t know what to do because my baby will only be about 7 weeks when college starts and I will be leaving her 3 days a week and I feel kind of bad, plus shes my first baby so I don't know how tired I am going to be and how much time I am going to have for college work etc. But if I wait until next september I will be 19 and have to pay. Has anyone else been in this situation or got any advice at all ? xx

  • I haven't been in the situation but I know how hard it is in the first few weeks after you have had a baby, especially your 1st! Don't want to make it harder but will the nursery take her on that young as most nurseries will only take them once they are 3months old! Good luck xxx

  • Don't make the decision just based on the money either! Your daughter is what matters and I would hate for you to go back to college and then regret it because you are missing out on time with your daughter!

  • Its a tricky situation hun! Personally, I took a year out to spend with my son and even the regretted going back when I did (He was 15 months). I would have a chat with connexions hun, there may be a way around it, or I know in my area there are health and social care apprentiships that you dont have to pay for. xxxxxx
