look around the baby aisle i tesco/asda etc to see what the jars etc are like for his age group. try him on rusks, maybe give him one whole to suck and nibble on but make sure you watch him! mashed banana is always a good one too! its trial and error really. my son was really fussy with foods, not the taste of it but the texture especialy when he was teething!

my daughters ten months, and shes happy eating the pots of food! but my mums swears by home cooking - and cooks up things like, potato and brocelli. or, brocelli and cauliflowers. potatos and carrot, peas and mash. lots of veg and fruit mostly, she blends it all up. and freezes it, so - as and when roxanne needs a meal you just get it out the freezer and microwave it! its really good using different types of vegetables too, so you can see what your little one enjoys more! x

p.s - once you've blended the food, pour them into the ice cube holders. and you can pop them out for each meal as you would when you were getting ice for a drink!
