Not letting me put nappies on!!
My little man will be 15 months old on 15th April and he is being a right pain in the bum when it comes to changing his nappy or putting a new one on. He either will not let me put him down to change his nappy or when he is down he will get up as quickly as possible to stop me doing it!! I had to resort to putting his nappy on whilst he was stood up earlier, not easy!! lol. Luckily when he has done a nasty nappy he will lie down so I can change him but wriggles like mad. We have tried giving him toys to keep him occupied when changing him, tried making it fun etc but it starting to annoy me now! He has got a potty and will play with it and sit on it for a little bit so do you think its his way of saying that he doesnt want nappies anymore and that I should start potty training?
what am i on about?! I meant 15th July! lol he was born 15th april 2009!

Personally i think 15 months is way too young to start potty training...the sooner you try th longer it takes so i would leave it a while. I'm having the same problem with tegan who turned 16 months 3 days ago. I````````````````````` now bu`y huggies little walkers pull ups and put her nappy on whilst standing up. Like your LO she will let me lay her down and clean her bum if its messy but then she wants to go straight away and rather than fight with her i decided pull ups would be easier

I have decided to switch to pull ups, will buy them as soon as we run out of nappies. I dont agree that 15months is too soon. My daughter was potty trained by 18months, all her own doing but her father messed it up by refusing to take her to the toilet when she was with him. She would stay dry when she was with me but would start weeing all over the place and wanting pull ups when she was with him and for the next 3-4 days after. She saw him every 3 weeks so had nice spaces of time in between that she was dry. Took her til she was 3 to be completely dry.

That's all i really meant by i think it's too early as it took you 18 months to get her completely dry, although i see it would have been easier if daddy had co-operated!!!!! I started potty training ash at 2 years old and she was dry day and nigh

t in one month (sorry tegans posting for me today lol) The other thing i meant was that to be completely potty trained they really need to be able to pull their own pants up themselves and my 16 month old wouldn't be able to do it!!! I do know someone who had trained their kids to be fully dry by 6 months and i promise i'm not lying!!! She did it purely to save money on nappies and god knows how :|
If you think he is ready then go for it!!!! Every mum knows their own child and as you have previous experience then that's even better...alot of mums get stressed when it doesn't work straight away! I have a friend who's been trying since her daughter turned 1- she's now 3 and still isn't fully dry.
There are kids at my daughters pre-school starting reception in september who are still in nappies- i think that's just laziness!!!! (unless it's because of a problem i'm not aware of!!!)
Good luck if you are starting, only thing i did find hard was that ash was really small and i could only get her knickers from mothercare cos they were the only place i could find 12-18 months at the time but they were still baggy!!!!
Just a random question but what brand of pull ups will you be using? I've noticed tegan is geting a rash on her back/top of her bum from the little walkers (think they might be scratching her?) so was looking into changing them xxxx
