Teenage Mother and Baby Groups

What is there in your area? Do you use them? Are they any good?

  • we have them here (HERTFORDSHIRE) i dont use them but i know of some people that do and they says its good...i dont go coz i feel like the odd one out at 16 x

  • I'm in the west midlands and most of the children's centers here have one. There is also a central one run by the council (i think) with youth workers, connexion workers and a teen preg midwife. I run a group myself for young mums, for breastfeeding support, sling and cloth nappy advice etc

  • I live in croydon (south london) and we have loads round here for all ages, we have a childrens centre which you can go to anytime you want to for stay and play, tues afternoon there's a hv and weighing clinic and thursday afternoon theres a young mums group. There are lots of other mum and baby groups that any age can go to but i dont like going to them as no one ever talks to me! x
