Help with Bottles....????????????

Hey, Im going away tonight, its a 3hour car drive and my baby is now (unfortunelry) bottle fed. How do i keep bottles for the day, go out, make them, heat them>?? What do other people do? Im supposed to be going shopping too for the day with a friend... What do i do?

And are the cartons of made up milk the same as the powder, they seem greyer in colour and make my baby more sick, so reluctent to use them??

HELP :) LOL>
Thanks xxx

  • you can buy little blue tubs that fit in the top of the bottle and then when you need it just empty it in the bottle and the little blue containers are helpful when the baby finishes with bottles!

  • Like the others said make up the bottles with cooled boiled water then put them in a thermos bag, take them out when needed tip in the pre-measured powder and for warming them up buy a tommee tippee flask. you fill them with boiled water like any other flask BUT the cup is alot larger than an average flask so it fits a bottle in it. Boots sell them and i don't think they're any more than a tenner HTH xxx

  • I use to ready make all my bottles for the day anyway so I'd take one out with me ready made. I'd usually go into resturants to heat his bottles, but I wouldnt use the microwave I'd ask for a jug of boiling water. Make sure you keep any bottles made in advance in the fridge and dont keep for more than 24 hours (some say 48 hours but I was told 24 and its better to be safe than sorry). You can get these little thermal pouches for bottles, good way to keep them cool or hot xxx

  • @ryansmummyuk times have changed since we had ryan and ashleigh! All formulas suggest to make on demand now, no storing made milk in the fridge!!! Although i will admit i did it with tegan as i couldn't see if they haven't changed the formula why have they changed the info!? I only kept them for 12 hours though. And restaurants aren't allowed to give you jugs of hot water anymore either....ridiculous isn't it...some will warm it for you behind the counter but they say insurance doesn't cover giving you a jug of hot water.....but they'll happily let you fill a tea jug full of boiling water in cafes?!
Just curious what themal pouches did you use? I never could find one that worked "well" xxxxxxxx
