Going back to work.....or college?

Hey Im 34 weeks pregnany and wondered if anyone knew about going back to work after you had your baby. I havent got a job to go too, but i mean a new one. Like is there help you can get with childcare? As if i got a job it wouldnt be amazing pay due to being 17/18 by then probably and not having much working experience, so putting the child into nursery would cause a loss in money so there would be no point working? Did anyone go back to work and what did they do?? Or College??? i wouldnt mind studying Childcare but i wouldnt be earning money to pay bills and childcare..... Thanks guys xxx

  • @Ezza when you are using childcare when working you can get most of it back depending on how much you earn so the insentive to work is definalty there and there a lot of help out there. You can check how much you could get help towards childcare on benefit calcualtors there info on the direct.gov webiste! Same if you go to college. I am expecting on May 5th and in september I plan on going to college - although my partner will be at home the days I work so i don't need childcare there student welfare officers which can help you with childcare and any financial help you can get -although I think the can be found through individual colleges. Connexions would be a good one to talk to they are fab at helping you with what support you can get :-) xxx
