periods after birth

bit of a personal subject i know! but..when you came to getting your periods again after giving birth to your little ones - did you find they were regular or irregular? mine seem to still be all over the place after nearly seven months..although apperently t's pretty common for them to be irregular for up too/or over a year.

  • well after the big long period after having Josh (don't know the proper name for it lol) - they fitted back into their normal routine about every 4weeks, but the odd one would be abit late or abit stoppy/starty but that stopped when Josh was about 2month and then i went on the rod and since then they have been regular as clock work :) - quite lucky really x

  • I bled for 6 months after having Ashleigh because I had an undiagnosed problem where my blood doesn't clot properly and I haemorrhaged at birth so it took ages to heal :s But after that my periods where pretty regular. Then I had 1 injection and they stopped for those 3 months and when i went to get another the nurse wouldn't do it because of the risk of osteoperossis in young girls so I PLANNED to get an implant but in that time i got pregnant :)

    After Tegans birth I bled for around 3-4 months and then i had an implant and I had a constant period for 6 months (had a 1week break in there somewhere!) Now 1 month later I've got my first period since having the implant out and it is ridiculously heavy (sorry if TMI) so I've never really regained normal periods after having my first daughter 4 years ago :(
    I would like to have regular periods though as that's one of the reasons I never realised I was pregnant as my periods have always been all over the place!!!
