i soo wanted one but after talking to my friend i changed my mind, she said she felt more relaxed being in the water but then when they baby came she had to move pretty much staright away to deliver the placenta ( you have to be on the bed to do that ) xx

I had one, and it is extremely relaxing
It helps with the pain of pushing them out, rather than contraction-wise...but I would highly recommend you having one! I would not give birth any other way now! Another great thing is that my midwife just, sort of, stepped back and let me just get on with it and said she'd only intervene if I needed her....it was such a liberating feeling to be able to push my baby out and then pick her up out of the water to let her breathe

I had a water birth, i would absolutley 100% recommend it! it deffinatly helped witht the pain, its so calm and soothing and you dont have to worry about the baby being monitored as they listen to babys heartbeat after every contraction while yur in the water and they use a special mirror to look at babies head and watch the progress as the are delivered. i had gas and air while in the water and thts all i needed and i never felt tht i couldnt cope it was so relaxed... or as relaxed as labour gets lol hope this helps x
