Old Wives Tales...=/

Does anyone know of any tips for getting Labour started naturally? I've heard about sex, walking, hot baths, peppermint tea and cod liver oil. Are there any others that anyone has tried that worked for them?.

  • Spicy foods, Pineapple, Riding in a car whilst going over loads of speedbumps and castor oil!
    To be honest I don't think any (bar castor oil) work.. Like you said they're old wives tales..
    I used castor oil and regret it! Made me violently throw up (exorcist style), gave me the runs and constant nausea for about 14 hours! I had my daughter the next day.. but I felt like crap from all the throwing up the night before.

  • Castor oil is dangerous!! Don't take it, it can cause serious complications, even death of the baby I've been told!
    With my first I tried sex, ate a whole fresh pineapple (twice, very sore tongue), raspberry leaf tea, long walks and a hot curry. None worked. Unfortunatly it's a case of it'll come when it comes sorry! xx
