@laurenella I would go to your local council offices and ask them about it, they should be able to get you onto the housing list. Your other options is to rent privately which they should also be able to give you advice about. Other than that go to your local citizens advice centre.

housing office said 21 month - 3year waiting list :/ but i will have a look into private thankyou x

If your mum would go mental about you moving out i'm guessing she wouldn't "kick you out". I think it's fair to say quite a few of our mums have said they're kicking us out in order to get somewhere as often it's the only way. My mum really did want me out but it was still handy! If your mum kicked you out you would have to go into a b&b and would go straight up on the council list....i don't know how long the wait would be in your area but round here we aren't in there for more than a month before getting temporary accomodation. Other than that like mumof2 said you should contact cab and could try some local housing associations. x
