I would say try and get into a routine quite quickly, as that will help you and your baby settle in better

Make sure you budget. There are so many costs that you don't think about. Tv License, gas and elec, water and council tax which is my personal hate. Cook at home when you can and if you're making something like lasagne or whatever, try and freeze some for another day. Saves money and time! Also (I don't know if your baby's on solids yet) get a hand blender to make her food for yourself. Much cheaper (and healthier in my opinion) than buying jars all the time. Accept hand me downs wherever possible. Most baby clothes have only been worn a few times by the time they grow out of them. Will you be living alone or with your boyfriend?

I see. Then I'd also suggest not moving to far away from home.(I know that's easier said than done) I live in the same village as my parents and its good for when i just want to get out the house or need a hand with something. And it means I can borrow my parents stuff! haha
