You guys both choose who's bank account it goes into hun. You get less than 2 seperate lots but more as a pair than as a single. If he does get into the army though you would lose all benefits xxxx

No and yes, you would lose your single persons income support and I'm pretty sure you would have to claim joint jobseekers as the only reason you get income support at the moment is because you are claiming as a single parent. You get less money than if you claimed seperately but not by alot and you would still get child benefit and child tax credit. However if your bf joins the army you would lose your income support, im not sure about child tax credit but everyone is entitled to child benefit. You choose which account the money goes into but i suggest you have at least the child benefit in yours as it secures your state pension! good luck x

@ryansmummyuk yes, as long as you are considered main carer with child benefit it secures your state pension. I read it in an FSA parents guide to money.
