I'm not really sure the answer to this but I'm sure if you rung your local job centre they will be able to tell you everything you need to know about what you will be entitled to! Hope you get it sorted

With uni you have the special support grant (aprox £3000 ) parantal learning allowance (aprox £1500) and ask you uni if they do buseries and how much you are entitled to. I get about £300. Amounts might change this year because of tuition fees f=rising, I'm not sure, but those 3 are the 'free money' you are entitled to and don't have to pay back. Benefits do not usually include student finance as income. So your housing benefits shouldn't be affected but ask the job centre just incase.

Thanks for your help i spoke to the finacial support people at college todasy to see exatly what im entitles to i was told that i can still claim income support but it may be slightly deducted as ill have my grants and loans coming in etc... but i wont be no worse of which was what i was worrying about and i can still claim housing benfit as im a single parent
