mother inlaws

does any one else fine that their babies fathers mothers try to tell you how to look after your baby? Mine is driving me mad!! But i dont want to be rude to her what do i do?! x

  • Id try to tell her as politely as possible, but mines exactly the same, my LO isnt even born yet and shes taking control, which im taking back!! lol

  • well, thi happened tome the other day ...
    i bought a new cot mobile and sue turned around and said she doesnt like it
    the next day she wen out and bought a new one
    i said to her thanks for the gesture, but im the mum, i decide, and perhaps we cud go shopping together, she tutted, so i said well why dont u have anotherbaby! lol
    trust me, i have the mother in law from hell!!! lol

  • omg i would have gone mad!! lol well my lil man wasnt well when he was born and the day we came outta hospital joyce came down and u no she was sayin i needed to bath him and things but i told her no cos she had opend the big windos in the living room and it was to cold! and what did she do?! w8 til i went to the loo and she undressed him and started bathin him!! i couldnt beleive it!! i wanted to chuck her ooooooooooooout!!! x

  • my mother in law is great now...but at the beginning she was too involved telling me im feeding her wrong ,winding her wrong holding her wrong! that i should leave her to cry ,stop picking her up etc etc ... it drove me crazy !! my boyfriend craig spoke to his mum about how she was behaving and she felt awful about it she said she thought she was helping me ...and ever since then she is very supportive and gives advice when i need it! id get your partner to speak to her about it...good luck xx
