I have offered free beauty treaments from a qualified beautician, free lunches and day trips but the young parents seem to come now and then rather than regularly

Myself and 5 other young parents have just established a new group for young parents. I've been attending a local group for the past 18 months, and so from those contacts we have been able to reach a large audience. Is there a large need for a group in the area you live? If not, that could be the problem. Also, speak to local health visitors, and community centres. The group we've set up is actually at a sure start centre, and so from this more people are being itroduced to the area. If you are successful in finding a venue which is suitable for a baby/toddler group, then proceed to approach the young parents. Also, try and reinforce that the group wouldn't be too structured, as in my experience this can put you parents off.
One final thing, what is your definition of 'a young parent'?
Hope this is some help x
