Does it get easier or harder???

My son is 4 months old, almost 5.
Im just wondering as they get older is it easier to look after them or harder? Im just curious as he is such a good baby and is so content.. I think (without blowing my own trumpet) im a really good confident mum just wanted some opinions. Thanks x

  • i think it gets harder but thats because my little boy is very demanding and wants my 24/7 attention and hardly has naps and also teething too x

  • I haven't got a little one myself but have experience with looking after little ones from my mum being a childminder and having a little brother who I've helped look after since the day he came home. I think it depends on the child, the parent/carer and the situation. Because if a child is naturally clingy and the parent isn't keen on that it can cause problems; that is just one example. Another is how the parent decides to solve problems such as behaviour that doesn't seem good, as if it gets ignored it will continue but a parent who is stern but not too harsh will find it easier so it really does depend on how you look after them and your patience, the child's behavioural tendencies and patience, etc. I am sure if your confident you will find it easy to take things as they come. A schedule to be kept to is crucial if you want things to stay relatively easy though. And as infants grow and learn to do more, they can get demanding as they will need more and new things to keep them entertained, some babies are just content and know how to keep themselves entertained but others don't xx
