Vitamin D is important for mums and children!
A new report from the chief medical officer for England has found that over the past 10 years people have not been getting enough Vitamin D. Vitamin D is important for healthy bone growth and heart function. If a child does not receive enough Vitamin D they become prone to bone softening known as rickets. Pregnant and breastfeeding women and children under the age of 5 are the most at risk to not having the proper amount of Vitamin D. Experts advise that women and children under 5 should take daily Vitamin D supplements in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Speak with your midwives and find the Vitamin D supplement that is right for you!
