  • Me time what's that lol!! I'm too busy sorting the baby, taking my daughter to and from school, cleaning, cooking etc. In the evenings when they are in bed I spend time with my other half so don't have what I would call quality me time. Just enough time to paint my nails without doing 10 other things at the same time would be nice!!!

  • Its definatly hard to get time to myself. With a toddler and a preschooler than generally dont sleep in the day I am always busy. They are both in bed by 8.30pm so then I have a bit of time, mostly taken up by studying. I enjoy having a nice relaxing bath alone!

  • The only 'me time' I get is when they're tucked up in bed.... but then it's not really 'me time', it's more, tidy the house time! Then my partner comes home and 'me time' turns into 'us-time'....... Sometimes I forget who 'me' is!

  • Having a set bedtime for your child helps make sure you have time to yourself in the evening... and I would also do the housework whilst cooking dinner or at some point before my son went to bed so I could rest once he was... I was lucky when he was a little baby as my friend who lived 3 doors away from me would take him for a couple of hours once or twice a week to give me a break or so I could go shopping/to meet friends on my own. And it got even better once me and his dad split up, now I get every other weekend to myself! I use to miss him like crazy when he went and still do a bit but its sooo nice to have time to be an ordinary teenager and have a lie-in!!! And picking him up is great :) he has a brilliant time but he gets so excited to see me which is really heartwarming. xxx

  • me time whats that...does cleaning cooking and sleep count haha actually its not too bad now as mine are older (6 and 4) but at 1 point i had a newborn and an active 2 year old which was difficult! a good support network helps ie friends family! my mum was a lifesaver xx

  • When I did get time while my son was asleep I cleaned constantly anothe rthing I regret. This is what my family could have helped me with. I have decided that when I have another I will be hiring a cleaner for a couple of hours a week. Its only about 10 per hour so 20 pound or so a week.

  • I was offered help all the time so I could get time to myself but never accepted it. I regret this sooooo much now. I know how hard it is to leave your baby but just ask someone to come round to your house and sit with baby while you get some sleep. This way your baby is still with you and you can get some rest.

  • i usually get time to myself in the evenings it is good to unwind and get a break for a wile as having the kids too much is stressfull lol !x

  • think it's hardest thing about being a mum! Not just the watching 24/7....but not being able to feel like 'me', kind of get nappy brain! Occasionally manage to get some time out, usually when he's asleep...which luckily at the moment is a lot (yay to growth spurts!)

  • I get some me time when connors napping or james will have him for a couple of hour while i have a bath and have some time to myself

    by ConnorsMummy 10 October 2009

  • My me time is while Elyse naps, and after she has gone down for the night. I have come to accept cleaning and cooking as "me time"- I get to be alone with my thoughts and my little one is sleeping so I haven't got to entertain her. I am starting to quite enjoy cooking too so I can't complain about that much! And I do stay up later than I should to do things like catch a TV show or come online.

    by tasha41 7 October 2009

  • I get up to 2 hours to myself when Kathryn is napping, but I wont have any time once Zack is born.

    by MoonMuffin 6 October 2009

  • It does get better as they get older, I promise!

    by MsMidwife 4 October 2009

  • I NEVER get me time. It's always Hunter or Athena. The one time I was supposed to go out hunter found out my ex was going to be where I was going with a friend and told me that he would prefer if I didn't go as he abuses people physically and I agreed to not go cause didn't want anything happening there.

  • Yeah, my 'me' time is when he's in bed and i can snuggle up with OH on the sofa and watch a film. I never get time to myself, like with out OH. The only time im really properly alone is in the shower lol!! Other than that, im cleaning washing, entertaining DS!! xxx
