  • Im split on this one because in one hand it encourages them to have sex at a young age but on the other hand for the ones that do it anyway its safer. <3

  • i think they shudnt just like the padded pras for seven years old bit if people want to have sex at a young age like they can use a small medium o large one they will do wont they

  • I don't think this would stop pregnancy's young, myabee it will, is making them smaller not encouraging them? Surely they would think, theyv made condoms in our size that means it's okay. Condoms are no a definate form of protection, so no matter what happens there will always be young pregnancies.

  • yeah i don't think it's a good idea for smaller condoms to prevent younger people have sex like 12 year olds like someone said above! but to be fair, they might end up doing it anyway and end up getting a girl pregnant, and if people are trying to prevent underage pregnancies than maybe smaller condoms are a good idea! but they should also advertise bigger condoms more because that can also be a problem if a condom is too small it can break!, trust me i'd know haha!

  • i think there is 2 sides to this.. i agree because it may prevent it but at the end of the day i disagree as it culd be seen as encuraging it and at the end of the day if they do it then nothing is going to stop them! x

  • A male friend said it should be large, extra large and extra extra large. instead of small, medium, large. I think smaller and larger condoms are a good idea but not if they're aimed at kids!! Its sick to even think of a 12 year old doing IT! I didn't think they even produced sperm till like 14! Shows how daft I am haha!

  • by making small condoms ur basically saying that it is ok for a 12 yr old 2 have sex and it is clearly not!! people should focus on the educational side of it e.g. giving good sex education that is more informative than the rubbish they hand out in schools that way kids aged 12 wouldnt wana have sex!!

  • i think it wrong that they r guna make smaller comdoms for younger boys...younger boys shouldnt be having sex in the first place its ridiculas, and the goverment moans about teenage pregnancy wen there basically promoting sex and we all no comdoms dont work!

  • i dont know any boy that would go into a shop and ask for small condoms!!!! loool

    by cadieangel 23 March 2010

  • no lad i going to walk into a shop and buy small condoms, they will feel stupid incase people would judge them.lads like to make it out there bigger than they are to make them sound good enda day most lads say they dont like using them or there alergic to them which usually is a lie , but then when it comes to them gettin someone pregnant they deney the baby or dont understand how they could of got someone pregnant they always think the girl should be on the pill which i dont think is right it shouldnt be just up to the girl to make sure there protected having safe sex.plus these days lads as young as the age of 11 are having sex now and they are not going to walk into a clinic and ask for condoms .

  • I really dont know what to make of this tbh, it sounds like a good idea, however i agree with everyone in the fact that boys/men (especially young teenagers) are not going to ask for or buy "petite" condoms. Or even take them if they where offered for free...

    by Ezzaa 20 March 2010

  • stupid idea, like @mumof2 says no man is guna ask for a small pack of condoms?? However I think a man pill would be a good idea, would cut unwanted pregnancies down, as 9 times outa ten men dont want children but unfortunately most of the time thier brains are in their penis an if its offered to them then not having a condom is not goin to get in their way!! But then it takes two to tango an women can be at fault for this too.

  • i think they should b called teenage condoms or sumthing, but i think it is wrong goes its advertising under age sex

    by kaybabe666 17 March 2010

  • im not sure wot to make of this. would it really help. if theres condoms out there for their age wot stops them "4getting" like so many people these days do (no offence) maybe this will encourage more underagers to be having sex but on the other hand better to be safe than sorry at that age?? this is a mind bender..XX

    by Smarties 17 March 2010

  • maybe if they made extra large or something you'd get more lads buying them - therefore less teen pregnancies? hahaaa x

    by Bethan 9 March 2010

  • Hilarious! Please tell me this is a wind up????

    by ryansmummyuk 9 March 2010

  • All i can say is LOL and agree with the previous comments!

    by LittleMumma 8 March 2010

  • @Bethan it is quite scary to think that people as young as that are doing it!! It hard to imagine that people would be interested in sex at that age - although I think it pretty hard to remember being 12!! I suppose if they gonna do it they should do it safely - but it not right! x

    by 8 March 2010

  • i agree with you all - what boy would walk into the shop with his mates, confidently, and go the shop assistant and go 'EXTRA SMALL CONDOM pleasee :)' nooo it wont work .. and its also saying that its ook and normal to have sex that the age of 12!? its just wrong

    by Bethan 8 March 2010

  • LOL! when I first read that I actually LOL'd tbh this isnt gonna work. Every guy automatically assumes that there HUGE like what mumof2 said so no way in hell are they gonna go and buy 'small condoms' this isnt gonna work AT ALL. And with what KittyBoo said I dont think handing them out @ school would work either, as they'd probs be well embarrassed then you end up with aload of angry parents down @ the school like raging bulls questioning what the school is subjecting the pupils to lol. So yep its definately a no win situation.

    by alisha-x 8 March 2010

  • I agree with @mumof2! Although it sounds petit guys aren't gonna go and ask for a small condom! - talk about damaging your ego! Maybe handing them out in schools would be better - although this could be seen as maybe encouraging sex - atleast it would be safe sex! The lack of education in this country means young adults or teens may not necesarily understand all the ins and outs of sex without protection - therefore the UK has a high rate of teenage pregnancies which can really only be pinned down on the lack of education available and people are too embaressed to ask for condoms or monring after pill! In europe we have one of the highest teen birth rates - so maybe we have it wrong - our system where we are embaressed about sex - in other countries they teach sex education as young as 5! Some people argue this is too young - I agree it seems their innocence as such shouldn't be ruined - however they have seen that generations teen pregnancies fall dramatically! It's a bit of a no win situation - you give people the resources so they can do it but do it safely and it's seen as encouraging - or you give them a few lessons in sex education when the vast majority of the year group are doing it anyway and it's too late!

  • personally I think this is absolutly ridiculous!!! What bloke in the right mind is going to walk into a chemist and ask for a pack of small condoms?! They are all too proud of their man hood and like to think they are huge. Its also advertising under age sex and I think teenage pregnancies might go up instead of down.
