The actress gives up breastfeeding after a few weeks cos she doesn't want to get caught short by the paparazzi in the Post Office! Is this a good reason to quit? Breastfeeding gives a baby's health a huge boost and protects against serious illnesses and conditions now and in the future. Should she have overcome her reticence for the sake of her baby? What tips have you got for feeding when out and about?

  • I'm don't think I'd be too pleased having paps taking pics of me breastfeeding!? I think they shouldn't be allowed to snap people while feeding as it's a private thing but that's never gonna happen so........Other mothers get the choice whether to bottle or formula feed anyway and at least she gave it a shot. Some mums don't try! (not that i think that's bad it's a personal choice :D)

  • I think giving up just because of the paps is riddiculous. She should overcome any rubbish like that & think about what's best for her child - simple as that!

  • I think she's within her right to stop breastfeeding for whatever reason... But I think if she was caught breastfeeding by the paparazzi and the photo's were posted in the papers it would be a positive thing and could encourage other mothers to do it in public x

  • Yay I can see this blog!!! Talking about the blog however, I think this has been played up to much. Most mothers stop breastfeeding for a variety of reasons, some of which is mentioned by her in the article. Alot of women feel self-concious breastfeeding and being in the public eye whilst breastfeeding must be a right pain in the ****. But I think the media has latched onto that reason. If she wants to give up then fair play to her for at least trying!!! xxxx
