'Eating for two' is a myth
Pregnant women do not need to ‘eat for two' according to the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (Nice).
Speaking to Today presenter John Humphrys, Nice public health director Professor Mike Kelly said that the only extra nutrition a pregnant mother needed was "two pieces of toast and a milky drink" in the last three months of pregnancy
