35 weeks +2

Blog Image

I'm 35 weeks pregnant only 5 weeks to go you'd think it'd be exciting, but just so you know it's not easier as you get bigger and nearer the end, for me it's going so slow, and I am currently walking like a penguin according to my family.

Don't forget the things they never tell you when your near the end, the back ache, well it doesn't stop, getting comfy is almost impossible at night, the amount I've had to get up to go to the toilet to get a drink, or to just fidget. Sleep and lack of it is probably the hardest thing to adjust to this pregnancy, because I seem to be awake to much, but having naps when I can has helped so I'm developing a pattern where I can sleep during the day which I am sure will come in handy when the baby arrives.

  • Sounds perfect Sarah :) The first time I had a baby I was still living at my mums and my bf moved in with me.so I had help then like you said for nipping for showers etc, and a couple times my mum took the moses basket in her room for the night and did the feeds, so my bf and I got to sleep for a whole night LOL The second time we had our own place and I was badly deppressed, I was constantly tidying and letting everyone in to see the baby so that no-one thought I wasn't coping with two young kids.... I was coping fine but in my head I felt everyone was watching me a judging my every move, whether I showed equal love etc. You seem like a really smart young woman, and I don't dount you'll do great. Best of luck for the future xxx

  • I'm lucky i will have such a close support network when shes here as my mums friend lives below us now, and my boyfriend will be staying her, and half my family live local, so i do plan on the first few months not doing anything i don't need to like spending time, constantly tidying, and going places where i don't need to, i will probably just go to appointments, and when family are round like my sister-in-law has already said she'll watch the baby when shes round if shes asleep so i can get showered and do things like that so hopefully i get me time baby time and time with her dad at a nice balance the first couple of weeks so i can get organised into a routine x x

  • Once your baby is here, as everyone says, sleep when, he/she sleeps. It doesn't matter if you have tidying to do, appointments to go to, friends to see, family to visit, shopping to do! Just go for a nap as soon as he/she does. Just enjoy every second you have with him/her, a few months from now when he/she's a couple months old you'll already be wondering where the time has gone! xxx
