My 9month old won't stop biting me, what can I do ?

Everytime we cuddle he bites me! I tell him No and he giggles! I don't know what else I can do with him only being 9months! Does anyone have any advise??

  • just make it clear the biting is wrong and that it is not allowed in a clear and firm voice making sure that he understands the message

  • Not much at his age. I'd just put him away from whoever he has bitten and say "no, that hurts" or something similar. He will stop soon but all babies bite on occasions! Like kerry said children don't have the ability to learn discipline until they are 2 years old so for now a simple no will suffice x

  • Yeah he has his 2 top ones appearing! Ok , i will just keep telling him no and pull him away from the situation! :) He really hurts sometimes you know! Little vampire. Thank you for the help xx

  • I would like to say that i think its jus a phase, has he jus had some teeth come thru or on the way? I would jus put him down an say no. My LO giggles wen i say no to him sometimes, Children wont learn dissapline until they are about 2. I went thru a phase with Harry where he would pull hair, so i would put him down an say no, he doesnt really do it anymore, but if he gets the opportunity he will have a sneaky toug!! HTH x x
